Quote of the Week

"Some women choose to follow men, and some women choose to follow their dreams. If you're wondering which way to go, remember that your dreams will never wake up and tell you that they don't love you anymore." - Lady Gaga

I've Always Wanted To...

At my school, the Business Communications class films a 15 minute show based on events going on around the school, news, and interviewing students. It can get a little annoying sometimes, I must admit. Especially since it's aired for four periods in a row- 5A (my homeroom), 5B (my lunch), 6A, and 6B. But today, they had a topic that's got me wondering.
Bucket lists.
At first, that sounds kind of dark to think about, doesn't it? Death? Talking about what to do before you die makes it sound like you're going to die soon.
But then again, it makes you think a little.
Who knows how much time we have?
We should all live our lives to the fullest! Do what you want, say what needs to be said. Let people know you care about them. Be there for your friends. Do the right thing. You know. Make sure your life is something you'd look back on and not regret.
That reminds me of a Billie Joe Armstrong quote-    “It's better to regret something you have done than to regret something you haven't done.”
So, yeah. Bucket lists can be pretty cool. Acheiving your dreams!
So, I came up with a little list. I'd like to see the Northern Lights.
Kiss someone on New Year's Eve.
See the coral reef.
Surf.
Make a wish in the Trevy Fountain.
Volunteer at an animal shelter.
Leave a flower on every grave in a cemetery so no one is forgotten.
Donate my hair to Locks of Love.
Clean off animals involved in an oil spill.
Publish a book.
Hug a penguin.
Sing at a karaoke bar.
Skip rocks.
My list is huge!
So, bucket lists-even though they make you think of death, they also make you think of your dreams, right? Just wonderin'...
