I've been wondering about something for a while now, and I have a point, here.
If people want everyone to go green with environmentally friendly things- I am one of these people- how come everything that can help our environment has a ridiculous price on it?
Think about it. Hybrid cars are outrageously priced. So is solar panneling. Not to mention organic foods, things packaged with Earth-friendly material or less plastic, clothing and bags made with Earth-friendly material, energy efficient light bulbs...all of these things cost more than normal products.
Why?
If we want to save our Earth, and I'd like to do that very much, then why are product that could help so out of reach?
My World Studies teacher put it this way. Foods that are good for you cost more than junk food. Organic fruits and veggies and all of that health food costs almost double what a bag of chips or pack of pop would. Why are people out of shape? Because junk food is easier to get access to. It's the same way.
So, hey. If anyone out there can produce a cheap car that runs on water? I'd love you forever. I turn sixteen this year.
So, why does caring for our environment have to be so out of reach- and why should it be something you have to afford? Just wonderin'...
